Learn. Grow. Thrive.
With a focus on safety, health, social-emotional growth, and academic enhancement, YMCA Before and After School Childcare programs serve kindergarten through middle school students. Children at the YMCA explore and develop their interests and talents through a wide range of activities.
Children who participate in our programs make friends, learn new skills, and do their homework in a supportive, learning-conducive atmosphere. Most importantly, children learn how to be their best selves. The Y supports today's youth and helps them build confidence for the future.
This year, all of our programs are pleased to offer both full-time and part-time options, providing parents with greater flexibility. Part-time participants can choose between Monday/Wednesday/Friday or Tuesday/Thursday schedules. Parents will also have the option to register for just before school or just after school care.
Registration for the 2024-2025 School Year is now open!
Our in-school childcare programs provide services for children ages 5 to 12 years.
Each year our before and after-school childcare programs have over 700 participants.
These programs can be found in participating schools throughout the Portland and Vancouver Metro Areas.

All of the YMCA's Early Childhood Development programs are approved providers who can accept these funding sources. These programs are operated through the Department of Human Services (OR) and the Department of Social and Health Services (WA).
If approved, individuals must connect their accounts through the state with the location they are registered for using the provider numbers listed below.
