Our indoor aquatics programs provide members and participants in our community a comfortable environment for team sports, water aerobics, swim lessons, family time, birthday parties and more. Lifeguard Training Classes
All lifeguard training classes require 100% attendance and participation. American Red Cross and YMCA Lifeguard classes have about 35 hours of materials to cover. Successful completion of either program will grant you certifications in Lifeguarding, First Aid, and CPR for the Professional Rescuer for 2 years. Included with the YMCA class is also emergency oxygen administration. Minimum registrants per class: 6 For current schedule of classes see our Program Guide.
Summer Aquatic Camps
For all camps, come wearing a swim suit, bring a snack and pick up your child on the pool deck at the end of the camp. Schedule: All camps run from 1:00 – 4:00 PM
JR Guard Camp
Improve swimming and treading water skills. Learn basic rescue techniques, First Aid and CPR. Participants completing camp will receive a certificate and will be encouraged to volunteer at the Y pool over the summer. Age: 10 & up Schedule: June 24 – 28, 1:00 – 4:00 PM
Water Polo Camp
Learn basic water polo skills, treading water, swimming with the ball, catching, throwing and basic rules of the game. Age: 8 & up Schedule: July 15 – 19, 1:00 – 4:00 PM
Fun times in the pool having swimming lessons, water safety activities and arts & crafts. Each day your child will build on the previous days skill lessons while having fun playing in the pool. Age: 6 & up Fee: Members $75, Program Participants $150 Schedule: July 8 – 11, 1:00 – 4:00 PM
