What is your Early Childhood Development curriculum consist of?
Curriculum – Overview
We engage children ages 6 weeks to 5 years using the framework of a program called "Creative Curriculum." This curriculum, rooted in educational philosophy, theory and practice, takes advantage of a child's natural curiosity while encouraging one’s social, emotional, physical, cognitive and language development.

Curriculum – Infants

Within this structure, infants will have the opportunity to explore their world with their hands, mouth, ears and eyes. They will listen to soft music, grab and shake hand toys, look at bright picture books, respond to others, move arms and legs, and work towards crawling and walking. Individual meal and naptime will also be acknowledged.

Curriculum – Wobblers and Toddlers

For children age 12 months to 2 ½ years (Wobblers and Toddlers) we offer daily opportunities for large motor skill development through crawling, walking, jumping and group activities. In addition, this age group will solve puzzles, build with blocks, scribble on paper, initiate make-believe play and use verbal phrases.

Curriculum – Preschoolers

Our preschoolers (2 ½ to 5 years) are encouraged to make self directed choices from a number of interest centers where they will draw, cut and glue, run, hop, throw, catch, climb, build with blocks, tell stories, sing, dance, act, learn letters, count, play with others and more.

What is your Early Childhood Development philosophy?

We recognize the privilege we have been given to work with each family and child. In stating this, we acknowledge the unique partnership to collectively advance a child’s potential. Through the shared efforts of staff and family we believe this diverse community can indeed influence a child’s success for a lifetime.
