Before and After School Enrichment
All kids deserve the chance to learn, grow and thrive in a positive, supportive atmosphere. Children who participate in safe, high quality enrichment programs are more engaged in school, exhibit better behavior, and achieve higher grades and test scores.
With a focus on safety, health, social growth and academic enhancement, YMCA school enrichment programs serve kindergartners through middle schoolers. Children at the YMCA explore and develop their interests and talents through a wide range of activities.
Our school enrichment programs are available during the school year at more than 40 locations. There are 30 YMCA School Sites at local elementary schools. In addition, many of our 16 Child Development Centers have school enrichment programs through partnerships with local schools.
Children who participate in our school enrichment programs make friends, learn new skills and do their homework in a supportive and learning atmosphere. Most importantly, children learn how to be their best selves. That makes for confident kids today, and contributing and engaged adults tomorrow.
At the YMCA we use an innovative approach to learning called Creative Curriculum.
Additional Child Care Programs
YMCA Winter, Spring and Summer day camps are offered at some of our school sites and child care centers and provide adventures that inspire and engage campers ages 5 through 12.
