When will we hear from a coach?
We ask every coach to contact their team as soon as teams are finalized. All participants will be notified about practice times and locations one week before the first practice of the season.

How many games?
Fall and Spring league: 7 games
Winter league: 8 games.

Teammate requests?
We do our best to accommodate friend requests. On the registration form there will be a place designated for these requests. However, we cannot guarantee all requests due to the large number of participants.

Coach requests?
Registered volunteer coaches may request up to 11 players for their team. Requested player must be emailed prior the end of registration. However, we cannot guarantee all requests due to the large number of participants.

Do you have Financial Assistance?
Yes we have a limited amount. Please see our Financial Assistance page.

What are your office hours?
We do not have set office hours. We have a small number of staff and tasks that take us out to the schools frequently in the afternoon and evening. The quickest way to have a question answered or a concern addressed is to Contact Us.

Why doesn’t our team have a coach yet?
All of our teams are coached by volunteers. We make every effort during the registration process to invite coaches to Register. If you have not heard from a coach after the first week of practice it is because we are still looking for someone to volunteer.

Why can’t we practice at the school that my child attends?
We use schools in the Beaverton School District. Not all of the gyms are available to us. On the registration it will ask you for the school nearest to your home. This will give us a landmark to use when picking a gym for your child’s practice. Our goal is to keep practice locations convenient for the entire team.

Why can’t we pick the night of practice we want?
Due to the fact that our coaches are volunteers we allow them to choose their night and time to accommodate their schedule. Due to the high quantity of registrations and requests from parents, we do not have the capacity to accommodate everyone’s request regarding practice nights.

If our practice night/time does not work for us can we switch?
On most occasions the answer to this is no. The reason is because it would involve switching teams with another player or adding an extra player to a team that is already at capacity. We will of course take a look to see if there are any convenient changes that can be made, but we cannot guarantee any changes will be made.

What is your Refund Policy?
A $30.00 processing fee will be charged on all refund requests. Requests must be made in writing to westside@ymcacw.org prior to the start of the first game for leagues and a week before the start of any clinics, enrichment programs, or summer camps.

What is your Wait List Policy?
Waitlists will begin once registration has closed. Any paper registration may be mailed or faxed and will be placed in the order they were received. If your child is placed on a team we will contact you to collect payment information.
