Employee Referral Program
Refer a friend to work for the YMCA and earn $250.
If you know someone you think would be a great candidate for a career at the Y, let us know. When employees refer a qualified candidate to the YMCA for an open career opportunity they have the opportunity to earn $250 through the employee referral program. The program is available to all employees currently working at the YMCA of Columbia-Willamette.

How it works
• Recommend a friend to apply for an open YMCA of Columbia-Willamette position. The referred employee must list you on his or her employment application.
• Submit the Employee Referral Submittal Form to your branch administrator or director when application is submitted.
• The branch administrator / director must date stamp the Employee Referral Form, sign it and submit it to Human Resources within two weeks of receipt.
• You will receive $50 within 30 days of your friends’ employment with the Y and upon 6 months of employment or, for a seasonal position, upon completion of the seasonal employment period, you will receive an additional $200.

• Keep an eye on our Careers Page or the community boards at sites for new job openings.
• Obtain a referral card from your supervisor and keep in your wallet to share with those who you find to be exceptional job applicants.
• Why is it great to work at the Y? Tell the candidate your story.
• Follow up. Did your referral complete and submit the application?
