YMCA Child Care
At the YMCA we believe all children deserve the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve under the guidance of caring adults who believe in their potential.
Your family will find quality, affordable and accessible child care at the YMCA, which is the largest nonprofit provider in the Portland and Vancouver regional area. More than 5,800 children participate in our Early Childhood Development, School Enrichment and Day Camp programs at more than 45 locations.
We know that family is the most important structure in your children’s lives. When you do decide to leave your child in our care you will go to work or school knowing your child is in a safe, stimulating environment. The YMCA provides child care programs for children 6 weeks to 12 years of age.
The YMCA nurtures a child’s potential in our child development centers and before and after school enrichment sites. Year-round child care is offered at our 16 centers. Before and after school enrichment is available during the school year at most of our child development centers through partnerships with local schools and at our school sites in 30 local elementary schools. Winter, Spring and Summer day camps are available at both our child development centers and before and after school enrichment sites.
Children are like sponges—they watch and absorb knowledge, skills and values from everything and everyone. That's why we use Creative Curriculum in our Childhood Development Centers and our Before and After School Sites.
If you are looking for a safe, nurturing and learning environment for your infant, toddler, preschool or school age child, look no further than the YMCA.
