Tragedy Puts Life In Perspective

Emotions still swelled as hundreds came to the Bellevue Family YMCA on Saturday night to honor the four people killed in a plane crash yards away from the building in early February. Nearly a month after the crash, those who filled the gymnasium still wiped away tears and choked up as they remembered the accident and each of its victims: Glenn and Elaine Mull, their daughter Amy Harter and their granddaughter Samantha Harter.

Chaplain Larry Yarborough Moving Into “Redeployment”

June marks the end of an era in the Middle Tennessee YMCA! Chaplain Larry Yarborough will officially step down from his position and enter retirement……..for the second time. Larry has served at the Nashville based association for the past 7-1/2 years in his current position. Prior to that he worked for 37 years for Lifeway, located almost directly across the street from the current association’s office. When he left Lifeway, he says God “redeployed” him to the YMCA, where he regularly worked out.
