Central Florida YMCA Builds A Strong Partnership with FCA
There’s an exciting new partnership developing between the Central Florida YMCA and the regional Fellowship of Christian Athletes team. One thing both organizations have in common is the use of sports to impact the lives of young people. This common connection has led to a growing understanding of how their organizations can work together to better serve the next generation.

Championship Fathering is about loving, coaching and modeling. Through the Fatherhood Program, we have been able to impact the lives of hundreds of children by engaging their fathers and turning their focus on their children. Our new blog, 365 Dad, will highlight fatherhood.

Emotions still swelled as hundreds came to the Bellevue Family YMCA on Saturday night to honor the four people killed in a plane crash yards away from the building in early February. Nearly a month after the crash, those who filled the gymnasium still wiped away tears and choked up as they remembered the accident and each of its victims: Glenn and Elaine Mull, their daughter Amy Harter and their granddaughter Samantha Harter.

Larry Whittlesey was hired by a coalition of 13 larger YMCAs across the country to help lead an effort to connect and advance the Christian emphasis movement in the US. In March of 2014, this new effort merged with the existing US Mission Network to create a unified presence for this national endeavor.
