Teen Self-starter Program

The Beaverton Hoop YMCA is now offering a Self Starter program. In this program we will provide the basic information needed to use the upstairs weight/cardio machines safely and effectively. Once completed with Self Starter program the young athletes will be free to use the equipment and participate in any of the group exercise classes. The upstairs equipment along with our group exercise classes (H.I.I.T, Athletic Training , and FUNctional Circuit) can provide great cross training for all sports.

Cross training takes your game to the next level whether its on the field, court or in the pool.

Weight Training
• Increase bone density
• Increase speed, strength and agility

Cardio Training
• Increased endurance performance
• Quick recovery time during games
